Jeeva Yoga Academy

Jiva Yoga Academy is a highly rated, Yoga Alliance registered yoga teacher training school and meditation retreat located in the tranquil area of Upper Tapovan, Rishikesh. Tucked away on Secret Waterfall Road, the academy stands out for its intimate, small-group classes, highly qualified local instructors, and a serene campus bordered by a lush forest and a flowing creek.

Core Programs & Training

The academy caters to all levels—from absolute beginners to advanced practitioners—and focuses deeply on Hatha and Ashtanga Vinyasa styles: 

• 100-Hour Yoga TTC: An 11-day foundational or introductory block designed for personal growth or self-practice (does not provide full teaching certification). 
• 200-Hour Yoga TTC: A comprehensive 26-day immersion covering yoga philosophy, anatomy, alignment, pranayama, and teaching methodology. This gives you the official certification to register with Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT). 
• 300-Hour Yoga TTC: An advanced course built strictly for individuals who have already finished their foundational 200-hour certification and want to elevate their teaching skills. 
• Yoga & Meditation Retreats: Shorter, flexible wellness escapes ranging from 6 to 13 days focused on relaxation, detoxification, and self-connection. 

  The Student Experience

Courses start on the 1st of every month and operate as all-inclusive packages to keep you completely immersed in a traditional yogic lifestyle. Packages include:

• Accommodation: Private or shared rooms equipped with hot showers, situated right on the edge of the quiet jungle canopy.
• Nutrition: Three fresh, hygienically prepared vegetarian/Satvik meals every day, along with herbal tea and traditional chai.
• Excursions: Weekend group trips like mountain trekking, visits to local waterfalls, and attending the sacred Ganga Aarti ceremony by the river.
